Our coaching programmes aim to empower you to achieve your personal best and to produce the results you want in your professional life.
We give you the confidential space and some precious time so that you can:
Examples of some of the coaching packages we offer are described below. Our individual coaching sessions are designed specifically with you in mind, and we can tailor the programme to your specific needs.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the new people management parts of your job, and doubting if you’ll ever re-gain an acceptable work-life balance? Perhaps some of your team are more experienced than you in their area of expertise but now you’ve got to tell them what to do? Maybe you need to recruit new staff, or help existing team members to develop their career or improve their performance? Possibly you are just feeling that there is something that you aren’t doing properly but you can’t quite work out what it is that will make you the manager you aspire to be.
We can work with you to unlock and decipher the challenges you are tackling. We help you to break the issues down into manageable chunks, and explore them with you in more detail. We then challenge you to clarify your goals and build a plan so that you can develop the skills, attributes and confidence levels you need to transform your management style.
Are you concerned that you are not getting the best from your team now that they are working in a hybrid setting? Perhaps the team is not as effective, productive or motivated as it could be? Perhaps it is harder to encourage collaboration or put in place effective communication channels when people are working from different locations. You might also be finding it tricky to determine when people should be in or out of the office, and lack confidence in managing individuals’ performance when they are working remotely.
We can work with you to unlock and decipher the challenges you are tackling. We help you to break the issues down into manageable chunks, and explore them with you in more detail. We then challenge you to clarify your goals and build a plan so that you can develop the skills, attributes and confidence levels you need to leverage all the benefits from hybrid working.
Are you looking to gain a deeper understanding of how your personality affects how you do your job, how you work alongside others, your motivations, and your levels of personal resilience and wellbeing?
Using the Facet5 personality-profiling tool, we can work with you to help you to understand the strengths of your personality – and how to leverage these – as well as those risks that keep turning up and getting in the way of you realising your potential.
Are you looking for structured and focussed feedback from the people who work around you?
We can provide access to a 360-degree evaluation tool and help you to interpret the results. We then help you to pull together a plan to address any personal development needs arising from your colleagues’ feedback.
The key purpose of our coaching programmes is to empower individuals to achieve their personal best and to produce the results they want in their professional lives.
Coaching has traditionally been associated with sports but in recent years has been used for helping people to develop in other disciplines, particularly in business.
In essence, a series of coaching sessions can give someone a confidential space and some precious time in which they can:
Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. The coach does not tell the client what to do but instead asks questions, listens, encourages and prompts the client to develop ideas and determine their own course of action.
Coaching can be useful for supporting the careers of talented individuals, developing management skills, encouraging innovative ideas and new perspectives and building stronger more resilient teams.
Fundamental to our approach is listening to the individual we are coaching to gain an understanding of their issues and of what it is they want to achieve. We then encourage and challenge them to develop an action plan with tangible goals, which they own, and I hold them accountable for making progress towards their goals.
Most of coaching is provided by Kate Le Marechal, who is a qualified coach with extensive experience of helping professionals and managers to find solutions to challenging issues such as creating good team dynamics, handling change, dealing with performance issues, or finding strategies for their personal career development or general confidence. She is a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council and has the ILM coaching and mentoring level 5 qualification. She is also an accredited Facet5 practitioner and Facet5 TeamScape coach.
Kate’s professional background is in HR, an area in which she has worked for over 20 years. She has been an in-house senior HR practitioner and an employment policy expert for a trade body. She now runs her own independent HR consultancy, which offers one-to-one coaching as well as advice to businesses on HR strategy and policy development. She has a degree in politics from York University and a postgraduate diploma in HR management from Bristol Business School.
We also occasionally work with associate coaches. You will always be given a profile of the coach prior to your initial chat with them.
Yes, of course. The examples above are included for illustrative purposes.
Our focus is on empowering professionals and managers to find solutions to challenging issues such as handling change, creating good team dynamics, dealing with performance issues, or finding strategies for their personal career development or general confidence. We will tailor the coaching sessions for the individual’s particular needs. In addition to the scenarios described in the main part of the website, some other examples of topics could include helping an individual to:
Plus many other scenarios - this is not an exhaustive list.
Anyone can have coaching!
We can work with individuals through their employer and can also provide coaching directly to independent clients.
Coaching programmes typically comprise three to six 90-minute sessions over a six-month period. This allows time for you to reflect, make changes, and develop your goals with our support.
We recognise that every individual has different needs and so are happy to put together a coaching package that suits you. As a guide, the investment for a typical programme of six 90-minute sessions over a six-month period is £900. We are happy to offer payment plans.
If you are enquiring for a company, please contact us for corporate rates.
Before starting a programme, we have a complimentary 45-minute ‘chemistry’ meeting or call with you to explore what you are looking for from coaching, to answer any questions you might have, and so that you can assess whether coaching with us is right for you.
We are very flexible about where, when, and how we work with those we are coaching. We are also happy to meet you out of standard working hours – either earlier or later in the day - to fit in with corporate, family, or other commitments.
We work predominantly in London and the Southeast but am able to coach online for clients outside these areas.
An individual’s need for confidentiality during a coaching session is, of course, extremely important. We ensure that the content of one-to-one coaching discussions with us remains confidential and we do not share anything with a coachee’s line management or HR team unless we have had their explicit permission. Our business is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. A copy of our privacy policy setting out how we treat personal data can be found on our website.
We work primarily with Facet5 but can also provide access to a range of other psychometric tools and can offer 360-degree evaluations should you find it beneficial to get input from your team and/or peers.
Facet5 can help you to understand the strengths of your personality – and how to leverage these – as well as those risks that keep turning up and getting in the way of you realising your potential.
Facet5 is founded on contemporary, trait-based personality theory – making the data credible, robust and reliable. The Facet5 profile provides a ‘snapshot’ of an individual’s personality. A profile details the five major building blocks (the Facet5 factors) of an individual’s personality. These factors are then broken down into 13 sub-factors.
We all have varying amounts of each factor within our personalities – the amount/score will differ depending on our personal preferences and beliefs. It is the pattern of ‘scores’ we see across each of the factors which provides an overall picture of our personality. With this in mind, there is no right or wrong profile. Facet5 is not a test, which you can ‘pass’ or ‘fail’. We call it a personality profile – often referred to by others as an inventory or scale.
We can also provide the personality-profiling tool and debrief sessions for the individuals you manage so that you can understand the working dynamics of your team and identify opportunities for wider team development and improvement.
